Years It is the number of years remaining till the time, your child is likely to begin his/her higher education. For eg. If the higher education goal will mature at say age 18 and your child's current age is 8 then 10 will be the years to maturity.

However, this figure is more about representing the price rise in the basket of goods and services used in consumption than the inflation in education costs. We should assume a higher rate of inflation (at least 2 to 5% higher) for education costs, considering the lack of quality education institutions and the growing competition for admissions.
